Decatur, Indiana

Decatur is a city in Root and Washington townships, Adams County, Indiana, United States. The city, which serves as the county seat of Adams County, takes its name after the prominent war hero Stephen Decatur, Jr. , one of the captains of the original six frigates of the US navy. When Indiana claimed official statehood in 1816, Decatur's name was as well known and revered as any star or celebrity today, thus when the town of Decatur was founded in 1836 it took its name in honor of the war hero.

Bellmont High School

Bellmont High School is a public high school located in Decatur, Indiana. The school was founded in 1967. In the 2007-2008 school year the student population was 907. Bellmont is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is rated as a comprehensive high school by the Indiana Department of Education. The school offers many subjects, numerous clubs, and several varsity athletic teams.

WJZI

WJZI (formerly WADM) is a daytime-only radio station broadcasting a Jazz format. Licensed to Decatur, Indiana, USA. The station is currently owned by Lewis Broadcasting, LLC. In December 2011, WADM dropped its classic country format in favor of Jazz as WJZI ("Jazz in Indiana"). The new station plays traditional jazz as opposed to "smooth jazz. " The call letters WJZI were formerly used by what is now WLDB in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when that station had a smooth jazz format.

Williams, Indiana

Williams is an unincorporated town in Root Township, Adams County, Indiana. It was originally named Greenville in the 1870s(after the brothers who ran the sawmill), but they had to change it when they needed a post office because there was already a Greenville, Indiana.
