Polk City is a city in Polk County, Iowa, United States. The population was 3,418 in the 2010 census, an increase from 2,344 in 2000 census. It is part of the Des Moines–West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area. Polk City is located along Saylorville Lake and near Big Creek State Park.

KCCI Tower

KCCI's Alleman tower is a 609.6 m (2000 ft) tall guyed television tower standing near Alleman, Iowa, USA at 41°48'35.0" N and 93°37'17.0" W. The tower was built in 1974 and is used to transmit KCCI's digital signal. In the vicinity are towers used by the other Des Moines-area television stations as well as several FM radio stations. KCCI is a subsidiary of Hearst Television, a division of the Hearst Corporation.

KCCI

KCCI is a television station that broadcasts on channel 8 in Des Moines, Iowa. It is affiliated with the CBS television network and serves most of central Iowa. Owned by Hearst Television, KCCI has studios in downtown Des Moines. The station's transmitter is located in Alleman, Iowa, about midway between Des Moines and Ames. KCCI is also seen in Ottumwa on translator K23CI, operated by a local non-profit organization.
