KDCR
KDCR, 88.5 FM, is the radio station of Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. It began broadcasting August 16, 1968. It is owned by Dordt College, Inc. , and governed by the Dordt College Board of Trustees. KDCR has never been a typical college radio station. It has always been much more powerful than most college radio stations ever are and broadcasts only Christian oriented programming. In 1968, KDCR began broadcasting at 48,000 watts and to a radius of 50-60 miles.
