Palo is a city in Linn County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,026 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Statistical Area. Palo is located near the Duane Arnold Energy Center, the only nuclear power plant in Iowa, and the Pleasant Creek State Recreation Park.

Frightmare Forest
Frightmare Forest was a haunted attraction in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was opened in 2000 by Chad Canfield as Canfield's Frightmare Forest, then run by an organised group of members. It has grown since then from a small haunted trail to a 5-acre event. In 2009, all of the Forest organization's property was packed up and moved to 412 7th Ave SE, as Frightmare Forest became the Circle of Ash Haunted Attraction.
