Wacky Waters Adventure Park

Wacky Waters Adventure Park was a water park located in Davenport, Iowa. In February, 2007, it was announced that Wacky Waters has closed and the property has been sold to the Eastern Iowa Community College District, which will operate The Midwest Center For Safety And Rescue Training on the property, a training facility for fire departments. In 1986, a couple received national attention by having their marriage ceremony atop the park's "Daredevil" water slide.

Davenport Speedway

Davenport Speedway is a half-mile dirt race track located in Davenport, Iowa. In 1953, the track became the first track in Iowa to host a NASCAR sanctioned event, when it held a race for what is now the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Fourteen cars participated in race. Buck Baker won the pole and Herb Thomas was victorious in the race. Now Iowa's premiere racing venue is Iowa Speedway which was built in 2006.

Scott County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 168,799 as of the 2012 Census estimate and increase of 2.2% from the 2010 census which was at 165,224. The county seat is Davenport. Scott County is one of the four counties that make up the Quad Cities Metropolitan Area.

Davenport Municipal Airport (Iowa)

Davenport Municipal Airport is a general aviation airport located about 7 miles north of downtown Davenport, a city in Scott County, Iowa, United States. The airport, which dates back from 1948, has also been home to the Quad City Air Show since 1987. The air show occurs the last weekend of June every year. The fixed base operation is run by Carver Aero Inc. The airport has two runways (3-21 and 15-33) and a 12,000-square-foot hangar.

Assumption High School (Davenport, Iowa)

Assumption High School (AHS) is a Roman Catholic high school in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Davenport in the U.S. state of Iowa. Bridget Murphy is the current principal of Assumption High. In 1958, AHS opened its doors as a co-institutional facility, with the merger of St. Ambrose Academy and Immaculate Conception Academy. AHS became coeducational in 1969.
