Winterset City Park

Winterset City Park is a public, city-owned park in Winterset, Iowa. The 76-acre park contains one of Madison County, Iowa's famed covered bridges and a stone bridge there was used in the movie The Bridges of Madison County. Also located in the park is Clark Tower, a castle-like structure offering views of the surrounding area.

KPUL

KPUL is a Christian CHR (Top 40) formatted radio station that broadcasts at 99.5 MHz licensed to Winterset, Iowa, with studios located in Waukee. It is notable for being one of a very few independent stations left in the Des Moines market. In 2010, the station announced a move to 101.7 MHz for later in that year and a rebranding to Pulse 101.7.

Madison County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 15,679 in the 2010 census, an increase from 14,019 in the 2000 census, and it is one of the five counties that make up the Des Moines–West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area. The county seat is Winterset. Madison County is famous for being the county where John Wayne was born, and for a number of covered bridges. These bridges were featured in the 1992 book and 1995 movie The Bridges of Madison County.

This article is about a structure in Winterset, Iowa. For the building commonly called Clark Tower in Memphis, Tennessee, see Clark Tower Executive Suites Clark Tower is a castle-like limestone tower located in Winterset City Park in Winterset, Iowa, USA. It was erected in 1926, on the eightieth anniversary of the founding of Madison County, in memory of Caleb Clark, a stonemason who was the first white settler of Madison County, and his wife Ruth Clanton Clark.
