Kirwin Dam
Kirwin Dam is a dam in Phillips County, Kansas, immediately southwest of the town of Kirwin in the northern part of the state. The earthen dam was constructed from 1952-1955 by the United States Bureau of Reclamation for irrigation and water storage, partly as a response to the Great Flood of 1951. At 169 feet high and 12,646 feet long at its crest, the dam is owned and operated by the Bureau.
