Oakwood Cemetery (Parsons, Kansas)
Oakwood Cemetery, located at 200 South Leawood, opened on June 1, 1872 as the city cemetery of Parsons, Kansas, USA. The cemetery is notable for two special sections called Antietam Circles, where local veterans of the American Civil War are buried. These portions of the cemetery were purchased in 1886 and 1889, respectively, by a local chapter of a veteran's group, The Grand Army of the Republic, Antietam Post No. 64.

Neosho State Fishing Lake, also known as Lake McKinley is located in the state of Kansas. Located 5 miles north on highway 59 and 4 miles east on 40th Rd from the city of Parsons, Kansas, USA. Construction of this lake was completed in 1927. The lake covers 92 acres of water. There are 124 public use acres surrounding the lake. Fishing, camping, and picnicking are popular activities. The park has a shelter house, fishing piers, picnic tables, barbecue grills, vault toilets and water hydrant.
