Kansas State Fair is a State Fair that is held annually, starting the Friday following Labor Day in September, and lasts for 10 days at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas. The 2013 State Fair runs from September 6 through September 15. It is the largest single event in the State, and annually attracts approximately 350,000 people from all 105 Kansas counties and several other states.

Hutchinson, Kansas

Hutchinson is the largest city in, and the county seat of, Reno County, Kansas, United States, 39 miles northwest of Wichita, on the Arkansas River. It has been home to salt mines since 1887, thus its nickname of "Salt City", but locals call it "Hutch". As of the 2010 census, the city population was 42,080. Each year, Hutchinson hosts the Kansas State Fair, and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Basketball Tournament.
