Pillsbury Crossing
Pillsbury Crossing is a natural limestone slab that was used by pioneers to cross Deep Creek. The ledge terminates in a waterfall in Riley County, Kansas, USA. The waterfall is about 40 feet wide and has a drop of around 5 feet . Below Pillsbury Crossing, Deep Creek flows into the Kansas River. The waterfall is named for Josiah Pillsbury, a Free-State settler in Kansas Territory who homesteaded by the crossing in 1855.

The river flows for approximately 359 miles from central Nebraska into Kansas, where it intersects with the Kansas River east of Manhattan. It was given its name by the Kansa tribe of Native Americans, who lived at its mouth from 1780 to 1830, and who called it the Great Blue Earth River.
