Pleasureville is a city in Henry and Shelby Counties in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The population was 869 at the 2000 census and estimated at 890 in 2009. Pleasureville is in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky. Settlement of what was variously known as Bantatown, Pleasureville, and North Pleasureville begin in 1784 when Dutch Huguenot families moved from Mercer county.
