Cane Ridge, Kentucky

Cane Ridge, Kentucky, USA was the site, in 1801, of a large camp meeting that drew thousands of people and had a lasting influence as one of the landmark events of the Second Great Awakening. Millersburg Military Institute

Forest Hill Military Academy now resides on the historic campus of the former Millersburg Military Institute. Millersburg Military Institute was a military boarding school founded in 1893 in Millersburg, Kentucky, about 30 miles northeast of Lexington, Kentucky. Founded in 1893, it survived for over 113 years until closing in July 2006 due to a declining student population. The school had been temporarily closed in 2003, but was reopened by a rally of support from alumni and parents.
