Fulton County is the westernmost county of the U.S. state of Kentucky. It was formed in 1845 from Hickman County, Kentucky. As of 2000, the population was 7,752. Its county seat is Hickman. The county is named for American inventor Robert Fulton. Pro-Confederate during the American Civil War, Fulton County saw both armies pass through it during the conflict.
