Shannon, Kentucky

Shannon is an unincorporated community in Mason County, Kentucky, United States. The village lies southwest of Maysville on U.S. Route 62, near the town of Sardis. The highest point in the community is dominated by the Shannon Methodist Church and a mound built by the prehistoric inhabitants of the region. The ovoid earthwork is 8 to 10 feet high and 100 feet in diameter.

Fleming-Mason Airport is a public use airport located in Mason County, Kentucky, United States. It is seven nautical miles (13 km) north of the central business district of Flemingsburg, a city in Fleming County. The airport is owned by the Fleming-Mason Airport Board. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned FGX by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

Mason County, Kentucky

Mason County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2010, the population was 17,490. Its county seat is Maysville. The county is named for George Mason, a Virginia delegate to the U.S. Constitutional Convention, known as the "Father of the Bill of Rights". Mason County was partitioned from Bourbon County, Kentucky, in 1788. Mason County is part of the Maysville Micropolitan Statistical Area.
