Houlton, Maine

Houlton is a town in Aroostook County, Maine, on the United States – Canada border, located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:46.1256|N|67.8398|W||||| | |name= }}. As of the 2010 census, the town population was 6,123. It is perhaps best known as being at the northern terminus of Interstate 95 and for being the birthplace of Samantha Smith. The town is home to the annual Houlton Agricultural Fair.

South Branch Meduxnekeag River

The South Branch Meduxnekeag River is a 15.2-mile-long river in Aroostook County, Maine. From the outflow of Johnson Pond in Linneus, the river runs about 5.8 miles southeast to Cary Plantation, then north about 9.4 miles to its confluence with the Meduxnekeag River at Carys Mills, two miles upstream from Houlton.

Houlton–Woodstock Border Crossing

The Houlton–Woodstock Border Crossing is a border crossing on the Canada-United States border, east of Houlton, Maine and west of Woodstock, New Brunswick. The Canadian border station is sometimes called Woodstock Road or Richmond Corner. The border crossing marks the northern terminus of Interstate 95, and the western terminus of New Brunswick Route 95. This crossing was established in 1972 upon the completion of Interstate 95.
