Lake Androscoggin
Lake Androscoggin is a body of water located in the towns of Wayne and Leeds, Maine. The surface area of the lake is 3826 acres. Its greatest length is 4.5 miles and its greatest width is 2.8 miles. This lake is very shallow. The mean depth is 15 feet and the maximum depth is 38 feet. Lake Androscoggin temperature is therefore quite warm during summer time and the temperature is the same on the bottom as it is on the to making it a homothermous body of water.

Wayne is a town in Kennebec County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,189 at the 2010 census. The town was named after Revolutionary War General Anthony Wayne. During the summer, Wayne is home to Camp Androscoggin. Wayne is included in the Augusta, Maine micropolitan New England City and Town Area.

Dead River (Androscoggin River)
The Dead River is a tributary of the Androscoggin River in western Maine in the United States. The river flows from Androscoggin Lake, northwest through the town of Leeds 7 miles to the Androscoggin. This sluggish river is the outlet of a chain of ponds, of which Androscoggin Pond is the largest and last. The river has the rare power of running either way at different times. Upon a sudden rise of the Androscoggin River, the flow sets back the current of Dead River into the pond.

Monmouth Academy (Maine)
Monmouth Academy is a public high school in Monmouth, Maine. It was established as a private school in 1803, hence the word "academy" in its name. The only piece remaining from the original school is the pillared area on the left of what is now known as Monmouth Middle School. In 1989, Monmouth Academy moved across the street from the current Monmouth Middle School into a new, modernized building. Approximately 240 students are currently enrolled at Monmouth Academy.
