Newry, Maine

Newry is a town in Oxford County, Maine, United States. The population was 329 at the 2010 census. Newry was the site of one of Maine's worst Cold War aircraft crashes. Newry is the home of Sunday River Ski Resort and has a proportionately large seasonal (winter) population.

Sunday River Golf Club

Sunday River Golf Club is an 18-hole, semi-private golf club located in the Town of Newry, in Oxford County, in the Western mountains of Maine. It was designed by famed golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr.. James Gilleon, Jr. is the club's PGA Golf Professional. Designed in the early 1990s, the construction of the course began in 2003 under the leadership of Harris Golf. The course opened to rave reviews in 2005.

Sunday River (Androscoggin River)

Sunday River is a 14.1-mile-long river in Oxford County, Maine in the United States. It is a tributary of the Androscoggin River, which flows east and south to join the Kennebec River in Merrymeeting Bay near the Atlantic Ocean. Sunday River flows from headwaters near Mount Carlo in the Mahoosuc Range.
