Prouts Neck, Maine

Prouts Neck is a peninsula in the town of Scarborough, Maine in the United States. First known as Libby's Neck for the original owner, Thomas Libby Jr. The name then changed to Black Point Neck, owing to the once predominant blue spruce trees there. The neck takes its current name from Timothy Prout, a Boston merchant who settled there in the late 18th century. Prouts Neck is known also for artist Winslow Homer (1836–1910), whose studio overlooking Cannon Rock is a National Historic Landmark.

Nonesuch River

The Nonesuch River is a 24.9-mile-long river in southern Maine in the United States. It rises in Saco and travels northeast, then east, then southwest through the town of Scarborough, becoming the primary source of fresh water to the Scarborough Marsh and the Scarborough River. It has several brooks as tributaries. It is a small, winding river, tidal over its lower reaches, which large boats could not navigate. At one point a canal was constructed to follow its course.

Old Orchard Beach is a town and census-designated place (CDP) in York County, Maine, United States. The population was 8,624 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area. Located on the inner side of Saco Bay on the Atlantic Ocean, the town is a popular summer beach destination. The downtown contains many tourist-oriented businesses, including clam shacks and t-shirt shops.
