Barstow, Maryland

Barstow is a small, rural unincorporated community in Calvert County, Maryland located immediately west of Prince Frederick. The community maintains its own separate zip code, 20610. There are no residential structures and no one resides in Barstow, MD. The only building in Barstow is the Post Office. The new Calvert County Fairgrounds are located near Barstow, moving from their original location in central Prince Frederick in the late 1990s.

WMJS-LP

WMJS-LP is a radio station licensed to serve Prince Frederick, Maryland. The station is owned by St. Paul's Parish/St. Paul's Episcopal Church. It airs a Variety format with a mix of musical genres, mainly adult contemporary and oldies, plus community-oriented programming. While WMJS-LP is licensed to an Episcopal parish, the programming on the station is principally secular. Calvert Peninsula

The Calvert Peninsula is part of the Western Shore region of the U.S. state of Maryland. It extends about 25 miles into Chesapeake Bay with the main bay providing its eastern border and the Patuxent River defining its western border. It constitutes a total land area of about 350 square miles and is essentially conterminous with Calvert County. Immediately south of the Calvert Peninsula is the larger St. Mary's Peninsula, defined by the Patuxent and Potomac Rivers.
