Linganore Creek

Linganore Creek is a 13.5-mile-long tributary of the Monocacy River in Frederick County, Maryland. The stream is formed from the confluence of the north and south forks of the Linganore, about 10 miles east-northeast of the city of Frederick. The creek runs roughly southwest to the Monocacy River, which drains to the Potomac River. The watershed area of the creek is 83.1 square miles .

Linganore AVA

The Linganore AVA is an American Viticultural Area located in north central Maryland and includes parts of Frederick and Carroll counties. The area is a part of the Piedmont Plateau northwest of Baltimore, a transition area between the mountains to the west and the coastal plain to the east. Libertytown, Maryland

Libertytown is an unincorporated community in Frederick County, Maryland, United States. The Abraham Jones House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Libertytown is the location of Liberty Elementary School. Liberty opened its doors in 1927, teaching grades 1 through 12. In 1945, Liberty graduated its final senior class and continued teaching junior high until 1962. Libertytown is also home to the Libertytown Park.
