Margaret Brent Middle School
Margaret Brent Middle School is a middle school in St. Mary's County, Maryland and is part of St. Mary's County Public Schools. As of 2008 there are 96 faculty members. It was named in honor of Margaret Brent, an early colonist who was the first woman to appear in a court of common law. She helped the colony survived during troubles of the 1640s by her independence and ability to deal with conflict. In 2005 work was completed on renovation and expansion of the Margaret Brent Middle School.

Morganza, Maryland
Morganza is an unincorporated community in St. Mary's County, Maryland, United States. Today, it is home to a few homes and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, which had been in the area since 1759. The current church on Route 5 at the top of the hill was built in 1860 and the Morganza Post Office was established there in 1867, named after the Morgan family.
