WMAL — branded 105.9 FM & AM 630 WMAL — is a news/talk radio station licensed to Washington, D.C. and serving the Washington metro area. It operates with 10,000 watts in the daytime and 5,000 watts in the nighttime with studios in Washington and transmitters in Bethesda, Maryland. The station is owned and operated by Cumulus Media and is affiliated with ABC News Radio, Cumulus Media Networks and Premiere Radio Networks. It is also one of the oldest surviving radio stations in the entire market.
