Hereford Zone, Maryland

The Hereford Zone is an area in Northern Baltimore County, Maryland, United States, constituting 20% of all of the land in Baltimore County. It includes Hereford, Parkton, Monkton, Freeland, Sparks, White Hall, Jacksonville, Upperco, and Glyndon. It is by far the most sparsely populated area in Baltimore County. Strict zoning laws prohibit any planned communities from developing, with large single-family housing lots and agricultural activity predominating.

Hereford High School is a four-year public high school located in the rural northern Baltimore County town of Parkton, Maryland, USA, as part of the Baltimore County Public Schools. The school was established in 1954. The school's district is the Hereford Zone. The Hereford Zone covers 233 square miles and makes up over a third of Baltimore County by area. Like those of most public schools in the region, Hereford students are transported by a busing system.

Prettyboy Reservoir occupies 206.5 sq/km of northern Baltimore County, Maryland, also known as the Hereford Zone. Even though the reservoir is located in the county, Baltimore City owns the reservoir and the surrounding land. Oregon Ridge Park

Oregon Ridge Park is a 1,043-acre park in Cockeysville, Maryland. The park features walking and hiking trails, a swimming beach, a nature center, picnic and recreation areas, a lodge, and cross-country skiing and sledding. Hunt Valley Towne Centre

Hunt Valley Towne Centre, formerly Hunt Valley Mall, is an outdoor shopping mall in northern Baltimore County, Maryland. The name reflects the gentrification/upper-crust patrons of the mall hailing from affluent suburbs such as Parkton, Phoenix, and Sparks. The development was constructed following the closure of Hunt Valley Mall (other than its anchor stores) in 2000. The anchor stores in existence today include Dick's Sporting Goods, Brandon's, Burlington Coat Factory, Wegmans, and Sears.
