Dominion Cove Point LNG
Cove Point LNG Terminal is an offshore liquid natural gas shipping terminal. It is located near Lusby, Maryland, United States, on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, which receives imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) and also stores gas. LNG arrives on specially designed ships known as LNG carriers. The shipping dock is located about 2.3 kilometres from the plant's storage tanks and is connected by pipes in an underwater tunnel. The site also contains a gasification plant.

Lusby is a place in Calvert County, Maryland, United States. The population was officially 1,835 at the 2010 census, although residents of the Chesapeake Ranch Estates-Drum Point community also use the Lusby zip code designation, making Lusby in fact a much larger community. The Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, and a compressed natural gas plant run by Dominion Resources, are both nearby. Dominion Cove Point is one of the nation's largest liquefied natural gas import facilities.

Patuxent High School
Patuxent High School (pronounced- Pa-tucks-ent) is a comprehensive, four-year public high school in Lusby, Calvert County, Maryland, USA. The school draws from the communities of Cove Point, the Chesapeake Ranch Estates, Drum Point and Solomons. Patuxent is a 2A school that competes in the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference (SMAC). In 2006 the Varsity Girls Field Hockey team won the Regional finals, and went to the Maryland State finals.

Chesapeake Ranch Estates, Maryland
The Chesapeake Ranch Estates (CRE), also known locally as the Ranch Club, is located in Lusby, Maryland, in southern Calvert County. CRE was founded in 1958 as is governed by a homeowners' association, which is officially called the "Property Owner's Association of the Chesapeake Ranch Estates" (POACRE). Today, CRE is now composed of over 4,000 homes.
