Hyattstown is an unincorporated community in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. Established in 1798 and named after its founder, John Hyatt, this crossroad's town is located on Maryland Route 355 (formerly known as "The Pike" or "The Great Road") in upper Montgomery County. Landon House

The Landon House was originally constructed in 1754 on the banks of the Rappahannock River in Virginia as a 12,000 square-foot silk mill. The structure was dismantled in 1840 and transported by barge and overland to Georgetown, Washington D.C. It was then placed on a barge and transported up the C&O Canal to Point of Rocks, Maryland from where it was hauled by oxcart to its present location in Urbana, Maryland.

John T. Baker Middle School

John T. Baker Middle School, or Baker Middle School, is a public school for students in grades 6, 7 and 8 located in Damascus, Maryland. Baker opened in 1971 as a junior high school for students in grades 7 and 8. It was later converted into a middle school. Originally, the school's feeder elementary schools were Cedar Grove, Clarksburg, Damascus and Woodfield. Now its feeder elementary schools are Clearspring, Damascus and Woodfield.
