AFI Silver

The AFI Silver is a three-screen movie theater complex in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, just north of Washington, D.C. in the United States of America. It plays both art-house and mainstream movies. It is run by the American Film Institute. The AFI Silver is the result of a restoration project for the original Silver Theatre in Silver Spring, which was originally designed by movie palace architect John Eberson and constructed in 1938. In 2003 the theatre reopened.

Silverdocs

The AFI-Discovery Channel Silverdocs Documentary Festival is an American international film festival created by the American Film Institute and the Discovery Channel. It is held every year in Silver Spring, Maryland, near Washington, D.C.. Started in 2003, the festival is held for eight days in June at the AFI Silver and Discovery Communications World Headquarters. Silverdocs is dedicated to showcasing the best in documentary films.

Silver Spring (WMATA station)

Silver Spring is a Washington Metro station in Montgomery County, Maryland on the Red Line. It is the first station in Maryland on the eastern end of the line, and is the second-busiest Metro station in Maryland after Shady Grove. It is co-located with a MARC commuter rail station.

Silver Spring International Middle School

Silver Spring International Middle School, also known as SSIMS, is a Montgomery County public school for students in grades 6, 7 and 8. Its campus used to belong to Montgomery Blair High School. Before attending Silver Spring International, students most likely came from Forest Knolls Elementary, Highland View Elementary, Rolling Terrace Elementary, and Sligo Creek Elementary.
