Midland Cogeneration Venture
The Midland Cogeneration Venture (MCV) is a natural gas-fired electrical and steam co-generation plant in Midland, Michigan owned by Midland Cogeneration Venture Limited Partnership. When it began operation in 1991, it was the largest gas-fired steam recovery power plant in the world. Originally designed as the Midland Nuclear Power Plant with twin pressurized water reactors of Babcock and Wilcox design with once-through steam generators (OTSGs) similar to those at Oconee.

Dow Diamond
Dow Diamond is a Minor League baseball stadium located in Midland, Michigan. It is the home of the Single-A Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League. The Loons are affiliated with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The stadium is located near Buttles, Ellsworth and State streets in Midland. The Dow Chemical Company, whose world headquarters are in Midland, donated the land for the stadium and also purchased the naming rights to the facility in 2006.

The Tridge (Midland, Michigan)
The Tridge is the formal name of a three-way wooden footbridge above the confluence of the Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers near downtown Midland, Michigan, in the Tri-Cities region. Named as a portmanteau of "tri" and "bridge", the structure opened in 1981. It consists of one 31-foot tall central pillar supporting three spokes. Each spoke is 180 feet long by 8 feet wide.

WMPX (1490 AM) is a radio station licensed to Midland, Michigan broadcasting an Adult Standards format. With the exception of a local morning show, the station's music format is delivered via satellite from Dial Global's America's Best Music network. The station had used Citadel Media's Timeless Favorites format until that feed was discontinued in February 2010. WMPX is simulcast with WMRX-FM 97.7 24/7 except for some local sports play-by-play.
