Drummond Township, Michigan

Drummond Township is a civil township of Chippewa County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 992 at the 2000 census. The township consists of Drummond Island, one of the largest islands in Lake Huron. M-134 runs through the western portion of the island. The highway connects with the mainland portion via the Drummond Island Ferry, which runs between De Tour Village and the island.

It is owned by Drummond Township. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, Drummond Island Airport is assigned DRM by the FAA and DRE by the IATA (which assigned DRM to Drama, Greece).

Potagannissing Bay

Potagannissing Bay is a shallow, island-strewn bay on Lake Huron in Algoma District, Ontario, Canada and Chippewa County, Michigan, United States. It is bounded by the land masses of St. Joseph Island, Ontario at the northwest and Drummond Island, Michigan at the southeast, and by the water bodies the Saint Marys River and the De Tour Passage at the southwest and the North Channel at the northeast. The bay is northeast of De Tour Village, Chippewa County.

Pipe Island Light

Pipe Island Light is a privately owned lighthouse on Pipe Island in St. Mary's River, Michigan. It was established in 1888 by the Lake Carriers Association to help ships entering St. Mary's River from Lake Huron. In 2005 three cottages and the Victorian keeper's dwelling were made available for overnight stays.

De Tour Village, Michigan

De Tour Village is a village in Chippewa County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 325 at the 2010 census. The village is at the extreme eastern tip of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, in Detour Township, at the turning point for the shipping channel connecting the St. Mary's River with Lake Huron and the Straits of Mackinac. Drummond Island, one of the largest islands in the St. Mary's River, is only one mile across the river from De Tour. The De Tour Reef Light is nearby.
