Bay de Noc Community College (commonly called Bay College) is a public two-year college located in Escanaba, Michigan, United States, and was founded in 1962. The college has a main campus in Escanaba and another 25-acre campus, Bay College West/Iron Mountain, in Iron Mountain, Michigan to serve Dickinson County. The college offers two-year associate's degrees. It is the home of the first Michigan Technical Education Center.

Escanaba, Michigan

Escanaba is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan, located in the banana belt on the state's Upper Peninsula. The population was 12,616 at the 2010 census. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 13,140, making it the third-largest city in the Upper Peninsula after Marquette and Sault Ste. Marie. It is the county seat of Delta County.

Escanaba River

The Escanaba River is a 52.2-mile-long river on the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. In his poem The Song of Hiawatha, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow describes how Hiawatha "crossed the rushing Esconaba". It is a wide river that cuts into limestone beds. The upper river is rocky and scenic and supports brook, brown and some rainbow trout throughout along with warmwater species in the impoundments. John D.

WDBC

WDBC (680 AM, "The Information Authority") is a radio station licensed to Escanaba, Michigan broadcasting a full-service format featuring news, talk and adult standards music. WDBC is Upper Michigan's most powerful AM radio station in terms of signal strength; its 10,000-watt daytime signal can be heard from Iron River in the west to St. Ignace in the east, and as far away as Green Bay, Wisconsin and Manistee, Michigan. WDBC has broadcast a variety of popular music formats over the years.

WCHT

WCHT (600 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a news/talk format. Licensed to Escanaba, Michigan, it first began broadcasting under the WLST call sign in 1958, and then became WBDN around 1971. WBDN programmed adult contemporary music throughout the '70s and then went country around 1979, keeping that format until late 1986, when the station switched formats to oldies under the WCHT calls (with the call letters standing for Classic Hits).
