WSMK (99.1 FM, "Smokin' 99.1") is a radio station licensed to Buchanan, Michigan and serving the South Bend, Indiana market, broadcasting a Rhythmic Contemporary format. The Station signed on as a Urban Contemporary format in 1996 as "Smokin 99.1. " The station covers Elkhart, South Bend, Benton Harbor & Michigan City. This was the second Urban station in the Southwest Michigan area, the first having been the former WLLJ-AM 910 in Cassopolis which by then had switched to oldies as WGTO.

Madron Lake is a 65-acre lake situated in the northwestern quadrant (Sections 8 and 9) of Buchanan Township in Berrien County, Michigan. The outlet of Madron Lake drains into the East Branch of the Galien River. Buchanan Township maintains a public boat launch off Burgoyne Road. Boats may be powered with electric engines only.
