Black River (Cheboygan County)
Black River is a 78.8-mile-long river in the U.S. state of Michigan, flowing mostly northward through four Northern Michigan counties: Otsego, Montmorency, Presque Isle, and Cheboygan. The Black River flows into the Cheboygan River at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:45|36|13|N|84|27|47|W| | |name= }}, just south of the city of Cheboygan. The main branch of the Black River rises in Charlton Township in east-central Otsego County near the boundary with Montmorency County.

Cheboygan Bascule Bridge
The Cheboygan Bascule Bridge, also known as the State Street Bridge, is a double-leaf bascule bridge in Cheboygan, Michigan, that carries U.S. Highway 23 (State Street) across the Cheboygan River. Built in 1940, it was the last bascule bridge constructed in the state of Michigan prior to the end of World War II. It replaced an aging swing bridge built in 1877. The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Cheboygan is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 4,876. It is the county seat of Cheboygan County. The name of the city shares the name of the county and probably has its origin from the Cheboygan River, although the precise meaning is no longer known. It may have come from an Ojibwe word zhaabonigan meaning "sewing needle". Alternatively, the origin may have been "Chabwegan," meaning "a place of ore.

Opera House (Cheboygan)
The Cheboygan Opera House is a 582-seat Victorian building and theater space located in Cheboygan, Michigan. Originally constructed in 1877, the theater was massively rebuilt after fire damage in 1888, and the current theater layout is considered authentic to that date. The theater was further rebuilt in 1903 after another fire. After serving the people of Cheboygan for many decades, the Opera House went dark in the 1960s. It was refurbished and reopened in 1984.
