Powers, Michigan

Powers is a village in Menominee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 422 at the 2010 census. It was named for John Powers, a bookkeeper for a logging company that came into the area in the late 19th century. WUPF

WUPF is a radio station licensed to Powers, Michigan and currently broadcasts a Classic Hits format as Eagle 107.3 FM. The station is currently owned by Radioactive, LLC and was granted its license on March 2, 2008. After going silent for the first six months the station signed on in September, 2008 with its current calls and a broad-based Variety Hits format. The station had been assigned WXPT since 2006. WUPF has the same branding and format as sister stations WMJT, WMJZ and WUPG.

Hannahville Indian Community

The Hannahville Indian Community is a federally recognized Potawatomi Indian tribe residing in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, approximately 15 miles west of Escanaba. The reservation, at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:45|46|48|N|87|25|52|W| | |name= }}, lies mostly in eastern Menominee County, but a small section is located in adjacent southwestern Delta County.
