Frenchtown Charter Township, Michigan

Frenchtown Charter Township is a charter township of Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 20,777 at the 2000 census. Frenchtown is the second most populated township in Monroe County after Bedford Township. The township — itself having no incorporated cities or villages but numerous unincorporated areas — is bordered by the city of Monroe to the south, but the two are politically independent.

WSMF

WSMF is a non-commercial, contemporary Christian FM radio station licensed to broadcast on 88.1 FM in Monroe, Michigan and downriver Detroit. It is owned by Northland Community Broadcasters (aka Michigan Community Radio and Superior Communications), which is owned by Jennifer and Edward Czelada. The station broadcasts with a power of 1.2 kW. WSMF's construction permit to upgrade to 2.8 kW expired on March 1, 2009.
