KBHP

KBHP is an FM radio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to serve the community of Bemidji, Minnesota, which is located in northern Minnesota. KBHP plays country music and is owned and operated by Paul Bunyan Broadcasting. It has its own local news department, and gets state-wide news from the Minnesota News Network. The Bemidji studios are located at 502 Beltrami Avenue, downtown Bemidji. It shares a transmitter site with KKZY, near Lake Plantagenet along Highway 9.

Lake Itasca

Lake Itasca is a small glacial lake, approximately 1.8 square miles in area, in the Headwaters area of north central Minnesota. The lake is located in southeastern Clearwater County within Itasca State Park and it has an average depth of 20–35 feet (6–11 m), and is 1,475 ft (450 m) above sea level. The Ojibwe name for "Lake Itasca" was Omashkoozo-zaaga'igan (Elk Lake); this was changed by Henry Schoolcraft to "Itasca"http://www. pgdp. net/c/tools/project_manager/displayimage.
