Scott County, Minnesota

Scott County is a county located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It was organized in 1853 and named in honor of General Winfield Scott. As of the 2010 census, the population was 129,928. Its county seat is Shakopee. The Shakopee-Mdewakanton Indian Reservation is located entirely within the county and within the cities of Prior Lake and Shakopee.

KCHK

KCHK is a radio station broadcasting a mixed format, including News Talk Information and country music, but is best known for its polka programming. Licensed to New Prague, Minnesota, USA, the station is currently owned by Ingstad Brothers Broadcasting, LLC, and features programing from ABC Radio . The station is known for playing polka music for the Czechs (hence, the station's call letters KCHK) that settled the area starting in the mid-1850s.

Prior Lake, Minnesota

Prior Lake is a city 20 miles southwest of downtown Minneapolis in Scott County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. Surrounding the shores of Lower and Upper Prior Lake, the city lies south of the Minnesota River in an area known as South of the River and establishes the urban fringe of the south-southwest portion of Minneapolis-St. Paul, the sixteenth largest metropolitan area in the United States. The population of Prior Lake was 22,796 at the 2010 census.
