Hugh White State Park

Hugh White State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is located off Mississippi Highway 8 east of Grenada. It is named after Hugh L. White, a former governor of Mississippi. Mississippi embayment

The Mississippi Embayment is a physiographic feature in the south-central United States, part of the Mississippi Alluvial Plain. It is essentially a northward continuation of the fluvial sediments of the Mississippi River Delta to its confluence with the Ohio River at Cairo, Illinois. The embayment is a topographically low-lying basin that is filled with Cretaceous to recent sediments.

Grenada Lake

Grenada Lake is a reservoir on the Yalobusha River in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is one of four flood control lakes in North Mississippi constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Grenada Lake was constructed to help control flooding along the Yazoo River Basin. The dam is located on the Yalobusha River approximately 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Grenada, Mississippi. The operation of Grenada Lake began in 1954 after a cost of $32 million dollars to construct.

The Billups Neon Crossing Signal was a prototypical grade crossing signal installed at a dangerous Illinois Central crossing on Mississippi Highway 7 in Grenada, Mississippi. It was installed in the mid-1930s by inventor Alonzo Billups over growing concern due to numerous train versus motor vehicle accidents at the crossing.
