Hancock North Central High School was a high school in Kiln, Mississippi. Its most famous alumnus, Brett Favre, played baseball and football there, earning five varsity letters. The school is also the alma mater of former American Basketball Association standout Wendell Ladner. The school's athletic teams were called the Hawks. Hancock County, Mississippi
Hancock County is the southernmost county of the U.S. state of Mississippi, situated along the Gulf of Mexico and the state line with Louisiana. It is part of the Gulfport–Biloxi, Mississippi Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of 2010, the population was 43,929. Its county seat is Bay St. Louis. The area is also home to the John C. Stennis Space Center, NASA's largest rocket engine test facility. Hancock County is named for Founding Father John Hancock.
