Fellows Lake

Fellows Lake is an 860-acre source of water for the city of Springfield, Missouri. It is also developing into one of the states premier fishery of Muskellunge. Muskies approaching 50 inches are occasionally caught, which is not matched by any other Muskellunge habitat in the state. Fellows Lake Dam was originally constructed in 1955, and modified in 1991. The earthen and rock dam stands 102 feet high, 1500 feet long at its crest, impounding a maximum capacity of 36,368 acre-feet.

Holman, Missouri

Holman, Missouri is a former town on U.S. Highway 66 in Webster County near the Greene County line. The current location is Missouri Supplemental Route OO about fifteen miles (24 km) northeast of Springfield. Nothing remains of the town except the name of a local road. The site is now occupied by Exotic Animal Paradise. A 1903 newspaper announced the founding of the new town.

Nogo, Missouri

Nogo is a former town in Greene County, Missouri, United States, on old U.S. Route 66. The site is now completely inside the city of Strafford. The name derived from the inability to name the town and someone made the comment that it was "a no-go. " The name "Nogo" then became the name of the town.
