Christian County is a county located in Southwest Missouri. The county had a population of 54,285 as of the 2000 U.S. Census. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, however, the county's population exponentially increased to 77,422 (a 42.6% increase from 2000), making it the fastest growing county in Missouri and one of the fastest growing in the nation as the county becomes more suburban as booming growth continues in Springfield. Its county seat is Ozark.
