Tyson Research Center
The Tyson Research Center is a 2,000 acres field station owned and operated by Washington University in St. Louis in the United States. The Center is located in the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area. The area was used as a munitions storage area during World War II and was purchased in 1968. It is part of the Henry Shaw Ozark Corridor which consists of over 8,000 acres of protected lands. It is a member of the Organization of Biological Field Stations (OBFS).

Times Beach, Missouri
Times Beach is a ghost town in St. Louis County, Missouri, Missouri, United States, located 17 miles (27 km) southwest of St. Louis and 2 mi (3 km) east of Eureka. Once home to more than two thousand people, the town was completely evacuated early in 1983 due to a dioxin contamination that made national headlines. It was the largest civilian exposure to dioxin in the country's history.
