Hams Prairie
Hams Prairie (originally Ham's Prairie) is a small town, population about 40, in Callaway County, Missouri in the United States. The town is located 5.5 miles south-southeast of Fulton, Missouri, whose post office handles its mail as part of zip code 65251. Hams Prairie is named for Rev. John Ham, a Methodist minister who arrived in Callaway County in 1815 and cut his name on a tree at the edge of the prairie one year later.

Callaway County, Missouri
Callaway County is a county located in Central Missouri in the United States. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the county's population was 44,332. Its county seat is Fulton. The county was organized November 25, 1820, and named for Captain James Callaway, grandson of Daniel Boone. Callaway was killed fighting Native Americans in 1815. Callaway County is also referred to as "The Kingdom of Callaway" after an incident in which residents confronted Union troops during the U.S. Civil War.
