Thompson, Missouri

Thompson is an unincorporated community in Audrain County, Missouri. It is located six miles west of Mexico on Route 22. It was named for early settlers. At one time there were two gas stations located in Thompson: Gifford's Shell station and Holshieser's. There is a gas station "Dawsons Country Store" which is located in the building originally known as Holshieser's, a Post Office (65285), Hopewell Baptist Church and an independent cemetery.

Centralia is a city in Audrain and Boone counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. The population was 4,027 at the 2010 census. The Boone County portion of Centralia (by far the majority of the city) is part of the Columbia Metropolitan Statistical Area, while the Audrain County portion is part of the Mexico Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Audrain County is a county located in central Missouri in the United States. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the population was 25,529. Its county seat is Mexico. The county was organized December 13, 1836, and named for Colonel James Hunter Audrain of the War of 1812 and whom later was elected to the state legislature.
