Grovespring is an unincorporated community in Wright County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Missouri Route 5 about 20 miles south of Lebanon, Missouri in neighbouring Laclede County. Several homes and businesses are located there. Grovespring is a rural farming community. Its main products are beef cattle, dairy cattle, and hay. The town has a grocery/feed store, service station, several automotive repair shops, hardware/feed store, and two cafes.

Competition, Missouri

Competition is an unincorporated community in southern Laclede County, Missouri, United States. It is about seventeen miles southeast of Lebanon. Early on, it was known as Newburg, or "The Burg" as it was known to its residents. When the post office was established, the name was changed because a city named Newburg already existed in Phelps County, Missouri. Thus, the name was changed to Competition. Its post office was closed, mail now comes from Falcon. The community was founded in 1867.

Manes, Missouri

Manes is an unincorporated community in Wright County, Missouri, United States, about 12 miles northeast of Hartville. Located on Route 95, several houses are located here, and at one time the town had a post office (ZIP code 65703), though mail is now served by Mountain Grove. Manes takes its name from a Baptist minister of Richland, Missouri by the name of Seth Manes. A missionary church was established in Manes in 1893 and in 1894 the first church was built in Manes.

The county was officially organized on January 29, 1841, and is named after Silas Wright, a former Congressman, U.S. Senator and Governor of New York.
