Stead Air Force Base

For the civilian airport after 1966, see Reno Stead Airport Stead Air Force Base is a former United States Air Force base operational in Nevada from 1942 to 1966. After its closure, it was reopened as Reno Stead Airport. It was primarily used for survival training by Strategic Air Command and hosted an Air Defense Command SAGE DC-16 direction center.

For the United States Air Force use of the airport, see Stead Air Force Base Reno/Stead Airport is a large general aviation airport located in the North Valleys area, 10 nautical miles northwest of the central business district of Reno, a city in Washoe County, Nevada, United States. It is owned by the Reno Tahoe Airport Authority. Reno/Stead Airport does not have regularly scheduled service, but functions as a general aviation reliever for the nearby Reno/Tahoe International Airport.

Lemmon Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Washoe County, Nevada, United States. The population was 5,040 at the 2010 census. It is a northern suburb of the city of Reno and is part of the Reno–Sparks Metropolitan Statistical Area. Prior to 2010 it was listed by the U.S. Census Bureau as part of the Lemmon Valley–Golden Valley CDP.

Lemmon Valley–Golden Valley is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Washoe County, Nevada, United States. For the 2010 census it was replaced by two separate CDPs, Lemmon Valley and Golden Valley. The population of the combined CDP was 6,855 at the 2000 census. The area is a northern suburb of the city of Reno and is part of the Reno–Sparks Metropolitan Statistical Area.
