Merrymeeting River

The Merrymeeting River is a 10.0-mile-long river located in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of Lake Winnipesaukee, part of the Merrimack River watershed. The Merrymeeting River begins at the outlet of Merrymeeting Lake in the town of New Durham, New Hampshire. The river flows south through a chain of ponds to the village proper of New Durham.

Alton Bay, New Hampshire

Alton Bay is an unincorporated village in the town of Alton, New Hampshire, located on Alton Bay, a 4-mile-long cove of Lake Winnipesaukee which forms the southeasternmost point on the lake. The village is part of the Lakes Region, a popular resort area of New Hampshire. Alton Bay is located at the intersection of New Hampshire Route 11 and Route 28A, 1 mile north of the center of Alton.

Camp Brookwoods

Camp Brookwoods is a Christian summer camp for young people aged 8-16 located in Alton, New Hampshire, off New Hampshire Route 28 about 2 hours north of Boston. Started in 1944, Camp Brookwoods is a Christian camp on Lake Winnipesaukee with a natural sandy beach Chestnut Cove. While Brookwoods is an overarching term that refers to the boys and girls at camp as a whole, "Brookwoods" more commonly refers to the boys while "Deer Run" is the girls camp on the same property.
