Dean Conant Worcester, D. Sc. , F.R.G.S. (October 1, 1866 - 1924) was an American zoologist, public official, and authority on the Philippines, born at Thetford, Vermont, and educated at the University of Michigan (A.B. , 1889). Ompompanoosuc River

The Ompompanoosuc River is a river, about 25 mi (40 km) long, in eastern Vermont in the United States. It is a tributary of the Connecticut River, which flows to Long Island Sound. According to the Geographic Names Information System, the river has also been known by the names "Om-pom-pa-noos-uc" and "Pompanoosuc.

Goose Pond

Goose Pond is a 625-acre water body located in Grafton County in western New Hampshire, United States, in the towns of Canaan and Hanover. The lake is part of the Mascoma River watershed, flowing to the Connecticut River. The state record smallmouth bass for New Hampshire was caught in this lake.
