Cobbetts Pond

Cobbetts Pond is a 302-acre water body located in Rockingham County in southern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Windham. It is approximately two miles long, and the shoreline forms the shape of an 8. The average depth is 33 feet, with a maximum depth of 50 ft . Cobbett's Pond is home to many different types of lakeside homes, ranging from seasonal cottages to year-round multi-million-dollar houses. These homes are all part of the Cobbett's Pond Village District.

Benson's Wild Animal Farm

Benson's Wild Animal Farm was a long-running private zoo and amusement park in Hudson, New Hampshire. It closed in 1987, after having been renamed New England Playworld for its final year. The state of New Hampshire acquired the property in 1989, and transferred it to the town of Hudson in 2009. It is being developed as a public park and nature area.

Adelbert Ames

Adelbert Ames (October 31, 1835 – April 12, 1933) was an American sailor, soldier, and politician. He served with distinction as a Union Army general during the American Civil War. As a Radical Republican and a Carpetbagger, he was military governor, Senator and civilian governor in Reconstruction-era Mississippi. In 1898 he served as a United States Army general during the Spanish-American War.
