High Mowing School

High Mowing School is an independent private, co-educational, day and boarding school, located in Wilton, New Hampshire, in the United States. High Mowing is a Waldorf school, and is the only Waldorf boarding school in the United States. It is a high school (grades 9 through 12). It was founded in 1942 by Beulah Hepburn Emmet, a schoolteacher who was displeased with the politics in the public school in Connecticut in which she taught.

Stony Brook (Souhegan River)

Stony Brook is a 10.6-mile-long river located in southern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Souhegan River, which flows to the Merrimack River and ultimately to the Gulf of Maine. Stony Brook rises in the town of Greenfield, New Hampshire, on the northern slopes of North Pack Monadnock Mountain. It flows southeast through the town of Lyndeborough, reaching the Souhegan in the mill town of Wilton.

Hartshorn Memorial Cannon

The Hartshorn Memorial Cannon is a decommissioned American Civil War naval cannon that forms the centerpiece of the South Lyndeborough Village Common in Lyndeborough, New Hampshire. The cannon is named for John Alonzo Hartshorn, the town's second Civil War casualty and a former member of the town's Lafayette Artillery Company.
