As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 8,421, reflecting an increase of 1,146 (+15.8%) from the 7,275 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 1,270 (+21.1%) from the 6,005 counted in the 1990 Census. The 2010 population was the highest recorded in any decennial census.

Fort Dix

Fort Dix, the common name for the Dix unit of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, is a United States Army base located approximately 16.1 miles south-southeast of Trenton, New Jersey. Dix is under the jurisdiction of the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC). Fort Dix, established in 1917, was consolidated with two adjoining U.S. Air Force and Navy facilities to became part of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) on 1 October 2009.

North Hanover Township is a township in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 7,678, reflecting an increase of 331 (+4.5%) from the 7,347 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 2,647 (-26.5%) from the 9,994 counted in the 1990 Census. North Hanover Township was incorporated as a township by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 12, 1905, from portions of New Hanover Township.
