Wharton State Forest
Wharton State Forest is a state park in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The largest single tract of land in the state park system of New Jersey, it encompasses approximately 115,000 acres of the Pinelands northwest of Hammonton, in Burlington, Camden, and Atlantic counties. The entire park is located within Atlantic coastal pine barrens ecoregion as well as the New Jersey Pinelands National Reserve.

Batona Trail
The Batona Trail is a 49.5-mile hiking trail through New Jersey's Pine Barrens. The trail is the one of the longest in the state behind the Delaware and Raritan Canal Trail, the section of the Appalachian Trail within the state, the Liberty-Water Gap Trail, and the completed section of the Highlands Trail in the state. The trail begins in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest (formerly Lebanon State Forest) at the ghost town of Ong's Hat and traverses Wharton State Forest and Bass River State Forest.

The First River, in the state of New Jersey in the United States, is the first main tributary of the Passaic River encountered while travelling upstream from its mouth at Newark Bay. The First River was also known as Mill Brook, having supported several mills, including grist mills for the earliest settlers of Newark in the 17th century.

Batsto River
The Batsto River is a 22.9-mile-long tributary of the Mullica River in the southern New Jersey Pine Barrens in the United States. Originating in Tabernacle Township, the Batsto River is joined by Skit Branch, Deep Run, Springer's Brook, Penn Swamp Branch and Goodwater Run before reaching Batsto Village where a dam forms Batsto Lake. From Batsto Village, the stream continues on for a few miles before its confluence with the Mullica River at The Forks.
